Exploring Ed Roberts' Poetry
Poetry Style and Inspirations
Ed Roberts writes most of his poems in a style called free verse. This means his poems do not follow strict rules like having a regular beat (meter) or rhyming words. He believes that these traditional rules might not sound the same when translated into other languages. Roberts' writing is often inspired by his home state of Oklahoma and his Cherokee heritage. One of his poems was even translated into the Cherokee language for a special book called Amaravati Poetic Prism 2019.

Roberts has written ten books of poetry. His poems have also appeared in magazines like The Poetic Voices Magazine and The Poetry Sharings Journal.
