Edward Joseph Dwight Sr. (born February 25, 1905 – died November 27, 1975) was an amazing baseball player. He was known as a "utility player" in the Negro Leagues. This means he could play many different positions on the field! Eddie Dwight mostly played for the famous Kansas City Monarchs team.

Playing in the Negro Leagues
Eddie started his professional baseball journey in 1925. His first team was the Indianapolis ABCs. He played for several teams during his career. These included Gilkerson's Union Giants and the Indianapolis ABCs (1931–1933).
He spent many years with the Kansas City Monarchs. This team was one of the most famous in the Negro Leagues. Eddie was a valuable player because he could play almost anywhere. He was a great teammate and a skilled athlete. His final year playing was in 1937.
