Eddy Herrera's Musical Journey
Early Life and Music Contests
Eddy started his musical journey early, at just nine years old. He began learning to play the guitar and took music lessons. He worked hard and became very good, joining many music contests. When he was 15, he won second place in the 'Festival of the Voice of Santiago.' Two years later, at 17, he won first prize!
Joining Wilfrido Vargas's Group
Eddy went to university to study architecture. But after two and a half years, he got an amazing chance to join the famous music group of Wilfrido Vargas. He was so excited that he took the opportunity, even though his mother wasn't sure about it at first.
His first big international hit song was called El jardinero (The Gardener). This song came out just three months after he joined Wilfrido Vargas's group. Eddy stayed with this group from 1984 to 1990.
Becoming a Solo Artist
In 1990, Eddy Herrera decided to start his own solo career. His first solo album was called Independiente. A year later, he released his second album, Mi More. Later, he changed record companies and released the album Amame. Since then, all his albums have been released with the same company.
Eddy Herrera has toured many countries, sharing his music with fans around the world. He has visited places like Venezuela, Colombia, Peru, Ecuador, Panama, Costa Rica, and many cities in the USA, including New York and Los Angeles. He has plans to visit even more countries in the future!
