Edin Osmanović (born May 20, 1964) is a football manager and former player from Slovenia. He started his football journey as a player and later became a coach for many teams. He coached several clubs in the Slovenian PrvaLiga, which is the top football league in Slovenia. Some of these teams include Celje, Gorica, and Mura 05.
Osmanović played his entire career for Zagorje. With Zagorje, he helped his team become champions, which allowed them to play in the first season of the Slovenian PrvaLiga after Slovenia became an independent country. As a manager, he led Gorica to second place in the 1999–2000 season. His team also reached the semi-finals of the 1999–2000 Slovenian Football Cup and played in the UEFA Europa League. This was one of Gorica's most successful periods.
With Korotan Prevalje, he won the Winter Futsal All Star League in 2003. He also reached the semi-finals of the 2002–03 Slovenian Football Cup. Later, with Dravograd, he was the runner-up in the 2003–04 Slovenian Football Cup. Edin Osmanović was also one of the first ten managers from Slovenia to get the UEFA Pro Licence, which is a very high coaching qualification.

Playing Career Highlights
Edin Osmanović began his football career as a player for Zagorje. During his time there, Zagorje won the West division of the Slovenian Second League in the 1990–91 season. This victory earned them a spot in the very first season of the Slovenian PrvaLiga, the top league in Slovenia.
After the 1991–92 season, Osmanović left Zagorje and started his career as a football manager.
Becoming a Manager
After getting his Slovenian Pro Licence in 1994, Osmanović began managing Rudar Trbovlje. In 1997, he became an assistant coach at Celje, working with manager Stanko Poklepović. The next year, in 1998, he took over as the head manager of Celje.
Success with Gorica
From 1999 to 2001, Osmanović managed Gorica. Under his leadership, Gorica finished as the runner-up in the Slovenian PrvaLiga. They also played in the UEFA Europa League and reached the semi-finals of the Slovenian Football Cup. This was a very strong period for the club.
Moving to Other Clubs
In 2001, Osmanović moved from Gorica to Rudar Velenje. The following year, in 2002, he took charge of Korotan Prevalje. With Korotan, he won the Winter Futsal All Star League in 2003. His team also made it to the semi-finals of the Slovenian Football Cup.
In 2003, Osmanović became the manager of Dravograd. With Dravograd, he led the team to the final of the Slovenian Football Cup in 2004. They were the runner-up after a close match against Maribor. He stayed with Dravograd until 2004.
Later Coaching Roles
From 2004 to 2006, Osmanović managed Aluminij. He then moved to Mura 05 in 2007, where he coached until 2010. In 2013, he returned to Aluminij and helped the club reach the semi-finals of the Slovenian Football Cup. His most recent coaching role was with Fužinar during the 2017–18 season.
Coaching Qualifications
Edin Osmanović holds a UEFA Pro Licence. This is the highest coaching qualification a football manager can get in Europe. He also studied at the Faculty of Sport (DIF) in Ljubljana.
