Edredon Bleu (born 26 April 1992 – died 28 September 2018) was a famous racehorse. He was a special type of horse called an AQPS, which means "Autre Que Pur Sang" (meaning "Other Than Thoroughbred"). He was known for National Hunt racing, which involves jumping over fences and ditches.
Edredon Bleu was born in France. However, he spent most of his racing life training in the United Kingdom. He was a very good steeplechaser, meaning he was excellent at jumping races. He often won races that were about two to two-and-a-half miles long. But he could also win big races that were even longer.
Over his ten-year career, Edredon Bleu raced 57 times. He won an amazing 25 of those races! His biggest wins included the Queen Mother Champion Chase in 2000 and the King George VI Chase in 2003. Edredon Bleu passed away peacefully on 28 September 2018, at 26 years old.
