Eduardo 'Edu' Bedia Peláez (born on March 23, 1989) is a Spanish professional footballer. He plays as a central midfielder, which means he helps both defend and attack in the middle of the field. Currently, he plays for Gimnástica de Torrelavega.

Edu Bedia's Football Journey
Edu Bedia started his football career in his hometown of Santander. He grew up playing in the youth teams of Racing de Santander.
Playing in Spain and Germany
Edu made his first big debut in La Liga, Spain's top football league, on September 24, 2008. He played for Racing de Santander against Villarreal CF. In that season, his team avoided being moved down to a lower league. He even scored goals in important matches, including one in a European competition called the UEFA Cup.
In January 2011, Edu went on loan to UD Salamanca, a team in the Segunda División (Spain's second division). After that, he returned to Racing. Later, he continued playing in the second division for Hércules CF and FC Barcelona Atlètic (Barcelona's reserve team). On June 16, 2014, Edu decided to try playing in Germany. He joined TSV 1860 Munich, a team in the German 2. Bundesliga.
After his time in Germany, Edu came back to Spain. On July 13, 2015, he signed a two-year deal with Real Oviedo. This team had just been promoted to the second division. In January 2017, he moved to another team in the same league, Real Zaragoza.
Adventures in India with FC Goa
On September 2, 2017, Edu Bedia started a new adventure. He joined FC Goa, a team in the Indian Super League. In his second season with FC Goa, he scored seven goals. His team even made it to the league final that year.
In June 2020, Edu signed a new two-year contract with FC Goa. He was chosen to be the team's captain for the next season. He also played for FC Goa in the 2021 AFC Champions League, which is a big competition for clubs in Asia. On April 20, he scored a goal in a game against Persepolis F.C.. This made him the first player from an Indian club to score in the group stage of this competition!
Edu also played in the 2021 Durand Cup with FC Goa. In the semi-finals, he was named the best player of the match. His team won a very exciting game against Bengaluru FC. In the final match, against Mohammedan SC on October 3, he scored the only goal. He scored it from an extra-time free kick, which helped his team win the cup!
Moving to Gokulam Kerala
On August 29, 2023, Edu Bedia signed a one-year contract with Gokulam Kerala FC. This team plays in the I-League, another football league in India.
