Eduardo César Angeloz (born October 18, 1931 – died August 23, 2017) was an important Argentine politician. He served as the Governor of Córdoba province for many years, from 1983 to 1995. He also ran to become the president of Argentina.

Who Was Eduardo Angeloz?
Eduardo César Angeloz was born on October 18, 1931, in Río Tercero, a city in Córdoba province, Argentina. He studied law at the Universidad Nacional de Córdoba and became a lawyer. He was married to Martha Marín, and they had three children: Eduardo, Carlos, and María Marta.
Starting in Politics
Angeloz began his political journey early. In 1953, when he was just 22, he became the President of the Youth Board for the Radical Civic Union Party in Córdoba city. This was his first leadership role in the party.
- In 1955, he became the President of the Provincial Youth Board.
- In 1963, he was elected President of the city's party.
- The same year, Angeloz was also chosen as a Provincial Senator. He became the leader, or whip, for his party in the Senate.
- From 1972 to 1982, he led the Party Provincial Board.
In 1973, Angeloz was elected as a national Senator. This meant he represented his province in the country's main law-making body. After a change in government in 1976, he worked with the Organization of American States, an international group that promotes cooperation among countries in the Americas.
Becoming Governor
In 1983, Eduardo Angeloz was elected the 54th Governor of Córdoba. This was a very important role, as he was in charge of leading the entire province. He was re-elected in 1987, serving a second term.
What Did He Do as Governor?
As Governor, Angeloz focused on improving the economy and public services in Córdoba. He worked on projects to help the province grow and create more opportunities for its people. His time as governor was marked by efforts to modernize the province.
Presidential Campaign and Later Years
In 1989, Angeloz became the presidential candidate for the Radical Civic Union party. He ran in the 1989 elections, but he was not elected president. Carlos Menem, from the Justicialist Party, won the election that year.
Even after running for president, Angeloz continued his work in Córdoba. In 1991, he was re-elected as Governor for a third term, which lasted until 1995. After his time as governor, he served again as a Senator from 1995 to 2001.
Eduardo Angeloz passed away on August 23, 2017, after some health issues. He is remembered as a key political figure in Argentina, especially for his long service as Governor of Córdoba.
