Eduardo Yáñez Luévano (born September 25, 1960) is a famous Mexican actor. He is well-known for his many roles in telenovelas, which are like long TV dramas. He has also acted in movies and TV shows in the United States.

Eduardo Yáñez was born in Mexico City, Mexico. He grew up living with his mother. He began his acting career in the early 1980s.

Eduardo's Acting Journey

Eduardo Yáñez started his acting career thanks to a producer named Ernesto Alonso. Alonso saw his talent and gave him his first role in a soap opera called Quiéreme siempre. In this show, Eduardo played a character named "Carlos" alongside actress Victoria Ruffo.

In 1991, Eduardo moved to the United States. There, he worked on two more soap operas for Capital Vision. These were Marielena and Guadalupe.

He also appeared in American TV series like Savannah and Soldier of Fortune. Later, he acted in Sleeper Cell and Cold Case.

In 2005, after being away for a while, Eduardo returned to Mexico. He starred in the popular soap opera La Verdad Oculta.

In 2007, he played the main role in Destilando Amor. This show was named "Best Telenovela of the Year" at the Premios TVyNovelas awards in 2008. He played Rodrigo Montalvo Santos, and Angélica Rivera played his love interest.

The next year, in 2008, he starred in Fuego En La Sangre. This was a new version of a Colombian telenovela. In 2009, he acted in Corazón salvaje with Aracely Arambula.

In 2011, Eduardo appeared in an episode of the TV series NCIS: Los Angeles. He played a Venezuelan politician.

He continued to star in popular telenovelas. In 2012, he was in Amores Verdaderos, playing José Ángel Arriaga. In 2015, he returned to star in Amores con trampa, where he played Facundo Carmona.

In 2019, he starred in the comedy movie ¡He matado a mi marido! alongside Maria Conchita Alonso.
