Edward Angel's Early Career

It's possible that Edward Angel started acting as a boy actor even before the English Civil War began. By 1660, he was already a very skilled actor. At that time, he was part of an acting group led by John Rhodes.

Joining the Duke's Company

From 1662, Edward Angel became a member of the Duke's Company. This was a very important acting group of the time. They first performed at the Lincoln's Inn Fields Theatre. Later, after 1671, they moved to the brand new Dorset Garden Theatre. Edward Angel continued to entertain audiences with his comedic talents until his death in 1673.
