Edward Herrera (born November 14, 1986) is a former Maltese footballer who stopped playing professionally in December 2021. He mostly played as a wing-back, which is a type of defender who also helps a lot with attacking down the sides of the field.

Edward Herrera's Football Journey
Edward Herrera started his football journey with the Melita youth team. He then played for several important clubs in Malta. He was loaned to Pietà Hotspurs and Hibernians before joining Hibernians permanently. Later, he played for Birkirkara, Floriana, and Sirens (on loan). His last club was Żejtun Corinthians.
Playing for Malta
Edward Herrera also represented his country, Malta, in international matches. He first played for the Malta national team on November 18, 2009. This was in a friendly match against Bulgaria, where he came on as a substitute.
His First International Goal
On September 10, 2013, Edward scored his first goal for Malta. This important goal happened during a 2014 FIFA World Cup qualifier match, also against Bulgaria. Even though Malta lost the game 1–2, his goal was a special moment in his international career.
