Sir Edward Mansel, 4th Baronet (born around October 1637 – died 14 November 1706) was an important Welsh politician. He served in the English Parliament several times between 1660 and 1689.

Edward Mansel was the son of Sir Lewis Mansel, 2nd Baronet of Margam. His mother was Lady Elizabeth Montagu. Edward became the 4th Baronet after his older brother Henry passed away as a baby around 1640. A baronet is a special title, like a knight, that is passed down through the family.

In 1660, Sir Edward was chosen to be a Member of Parliament (MP) for Glamorgan. This means he represented his area in the Parliament. He was re-elected as an MP for Glamorgan in 1670 and served until 1679. He was elected again in 1681 and held his seat until 1689.

Sir Edward also played a role in the local military. In 1660, he helped organize the local army, called the militia, in Glamorgan. He became the Colonel, or leader, of the Glamorganshire Militia in 1665 and again in 1697. In 1688, he was also appointed High Sheriff of Glamorgan, which was a very important local law enforcement role.

Sir Edward Mansel was a powerful and respected person in South Wales. The Duke of Beaufort, who was a very important leader in Wales, even visited Sir Edward at his home in Margam in 1684. Sir Edward Mansel passed away when he was 69 years old.
