- Their older son, named Edward, sadly died before his father in 1726.
- Their younger son, Sir Thomas, became the next Baronet. However, Sir Thomas died a few years later in 1738 in France. He was the very last Stradling to own St Donat's Castle.
After Sir Thomas's death, St Donat's Castle went to the Tyrwhitt family. This happened because Sir Thomas and his friend Sir John Tyrwhitt had an agreement that if one of them died, the other would inherit their property.
