Edwin Orlando Mosquera Roa (born July 26, 1985 – died December 2, 2017) was a talented weightlifter from Colombia. He competed in the 69 kilogram (kg) weight division. Edwin won several important medals during his career. These included silver medals at the 2007 Pan American Games and the 2016 Pan American Championships. He also won gold at the Pan American Championships in both 2008 and 2010. He competed in the 2016 Olympics, finishing 7th. Sadly, Edwin Mosquera died on December 2, 2017.

He worked hard to recover and compete again. Edwin made it to the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. He competed in the men's 69 kg event. He finished in 7th place, which is a very good result at the Olympics.
