Egmont Village is a small community located in Taranaki, New Zealand. It is found along State Highway 3. The city of New Plymouth is about 12 kilometers to the north-west. Inglewood is around 6 kilometers to the south-east. Two rivers, the Waiwhakaiho River and Mangaoraka Stream, flow nearby.

Egmont Village is a rural community. It covers about 1.44 square kilometers. In 2018, the estimated population was 327 people. This means there were about 227 people living in each square kilometer.
The population of Egmont Village has been growing. In the 2018 New Zealand census, 327 people lived here. This was an increase of 48 people since the 2013 census. It was also 54 more people than in the 2006 census.
There were 114 homes in the village. The population included 168 males and 165 females. About 72 people (22%) were under 15 years old. Most people (51.4%) were between 30 and 64 years old.
Most residents (94.5%) were of European or Pākehā background. Some people also identified as Māori (7.3%). A small number were from Pacific peoples or Asian backgrounds.
When asked about their religion, many people (60.6%) said they had no religion. About 29.4% identified as Christian.
Learning and Education
Egmont Village has its own school called Egmont Village School. It is a school for students from years 1 to 8. This means it teaches children from age 5 up to about 13. As of 2024, the school has about 125 students.
The school was first opened in 1877. It is also home to the Egmont Village Blockhouse. This was a special defensive building. It was built in 1868 because settlers were worried during Tītokowaru's War.
