Eiji Sato, born on April 8, 1971, is a former Japanese football (soccer) player and manager. He played as a midfielder for several teams, including Urawa Reds and Sony Sendai. After his playing days, he also became a football manager.

Playing Career

Eiji Sato was born in Tokyo, Japan, on April 8, 1971. He started his professional football journey in 1990 when he joined a team called Mitsubishi Motors. This team later became known as Urawa Reds.

In his first season with Mitsubishi Motors, Sato played in many matches. However, as time went on, he got fewer chances to play. He left the club in 1993.

In 1995, Sato joined Fukushima FC, which was a club in the Japan Football League at the time. The next year, in 1996, he moved to Sony Sendai. This club was part of the Japanese Regional Leagues. Eiji Sato played for Sony Sendai for many years, staying with the team until 2002.

Coaching Career

After finishing his career as a player, Eiji Sato began working as a coach. He started his coaching journey at Sony Sendai in 2003, the same club where he had played for many years.

In 2004, he took on a bigger role and became the manager for Sony Sendai. He led the team as their manager for several seasons, continuing in that position until 2007.
