Elina Nechayeva (Estonian: Elina Netšajeva; born 10 November 1991) is a talented singer from Estonia. She is known for her beautiful soprano voice. A soprano is a type of classical female singing voice. Elina represented Estonia in the big music competition, the Eurovision Song Contest, in 2018. She sang a powerful song called "La forza" in Italian.

Elina's Music Journey
Elina started her public singing career in 2009. She appeared on the Estonian TV show Eesti otsib superstaari, which is like "Idol" in other countries. She also took part in Klassikatähed 2014, a competition for young classical musicians.
Education and Early Career
Elina finished Tallinn French School in 2011. She then studied classical singing at the Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre. She earned her master's degree in 2016. Before her big Eurovision moment, she even helped host the semi-finals of Eesti Laul 2017. This show picks Estonia's song for Eurovision.
Eurovision Success
On March 3, 2018, Elina won Eesti Laul 2018. Her winning song was "La forza", which means "The Force" in Italian. This win meant she would represent Estonia at the Eurovision Song Contest 2018 in Lisbon, Portugal. She performed very well and finished in 8th place in the Grand Final.
Other Appearances
After Eurovision, Elina also appeared in the 2020 movie Eurovision Song Contest: The Story of Fire Saga. This was a musical comedy film. She also took part in the Estonian version of Masked Singer, where she sang while dressed as 'the Phoenix'. She came in second place. In 2022, she returned to Eesti Laul with a new song called "Remedy".

Besides pop and classical music, Elina has performed in many theatre productions. She has played roles in famous operas like "L'elisir d'amore" and "Orpheus in the Underworld". She also played Eliza Doolittle in the musical "My Fair Lady".
About Elina's Life
In December 2017, Elina changed the spelling of her stage name. She changed it from Netšajeva to Nechayeva. It sounds the same, but the new spelling is easier for people outside Estonia to read.
Elina has a very interesting family background. Her family comes from different places. She has Chuvash, Estonian, and Russian ancestors. She was the first person of Chuvash descent to take part in the Eurovision Song Contest.
