Elina's Journey in Music
Early Steps and TV Shows
Elina started her public singing journey in 2009. She took part in the third season of Eesti otsib superstaari, which is like a talent show in Estonia. Even though she didn't win, it was a great start. She finished school at Tallinn French School in 2011.
In 2014, Elina joined another TV competition called Klassikatähed 2014 on ETV. This show focused on classical music. She did very well and was one of the top three finalists!
Becoming a Professional Singer
Elina worked hard on her singing skills. In 2016, she earned a master's degree in classical singing. She studied at the Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre. This helped her become a professional soprano.

Other Appearances
Elina also appeared in a fun movie in 2020. It was an American musical comedy film called Eurovision Song Contest: The Story of Fire Saga. She also showed off her singing skills on the Estonian version of Masked Singer. She played 'the Phoenix' and came in second place in the second season.
In 2022, Elina returned to Eesti Laul with a new song called "Remedy". This song was written by Sven Lõhmus. She reached the final and finished in 8th place.

In December 2017, Elina changed the spelling of her stage name. She changed it from Netšajeva to Nechayeva. It sounds the same, but the new spelling is easier for people outside Estonia to read.
