Writing and Charitable Work

In 1831, she helped with the Irish Distress Committee. This group worked to raise money. Their goal was to help poor Irish people who were suffering.

With special permission from Queen Victoria, she published a book. It was called The Court of Oberon. Elizabeth had written this play many years earlier, in the 1790s. She also drew the pictures for her book herself.
