Elk, Ohio facts for kids
Elk is a small place in Noble County, Ohio. It is called an unincorporated community. This means it's a group of homes and businesses that doesn't have its own local government, like a town or city does. Instead, it's part of the larger county.
History
Elk was first created in 1854. Back then, it had a different name: Fredericktown. Later, a post office was opened there. A post office is where people send and receive mail. This post office was named Elk. It started in 1873 and stayed open until 1910.
