Elliot Jones is an American baseball coach. He used to play baseball as a first baseman. Most recently, he was the head coach for the Alabama A&M Bulldogs baseball team. Before coaching, he played college baseball at Southern University from 2012 to 2014. His coach there was Roger Cador.
Playing Baseball
Elliot Jones grew up in Shreveport, Louisiana. He went to Huntington High School in Shreveport. At high school, he was good at two sports. He played quarterback for the football team. He also played baseball. On March 31, 2011, he decided to play college baseball at Southern University.
Coaching Baseball
Jones started his coaching career as an assistant coach at Southern University. He was first going to be the head coach at Livonia High School. But he chose to become an assistant coach at Grambling State University instead.
On October 23, 2020, Jones was named the head coach for the Alabama A&M baseball team. He coached there for four seasons. On October 30, 2024, Jones announced he was leaving Alabama A&M.
