The Story of Elm Point

Elm Point got its name from something very natural and beautiful: a group of tall elm trees! These trees grew close to where the community first started. Imagine a lovely spot with lots of elm trees – that's how Elm Point got its name.

A long time ago, in 1889, people living in Elm Point had their very own post office. It was a busy place where letters and packages were sent and received. However, the post office only stayed open for a short time, closing just two years later in 1891.
