Elsa Cross (born March 6, 1946) is a modern writer from Mexico City, Mexico. She is most famous for her poetry, which she writes in Spanish. Besides writing poems, she has also translated books and written essays about philosophy. She is known as an expert on the philosophy of India.

Elsa Cross earned a doctorate, which is a very high university degree, in Philosophy and Letters from the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM). She now works as a professor at the same university.
