Emelia's Early Life
Emelia Jackson was born in Melbourne, Australia, in 1989. Her father is Australian, and her mother has Macedonian heritage. She went to Siena College for her high school years.
When Emelia was 14, she had a serious accident. She was hit by a car while trying to catch a tram. She spent years recovering and even missed a year of high school. Her mother shared that this event made Emelia even more determined to reach her goals. After high school, she studied at Monash University. There, she earned a degree in Psychology and Management.
Her Cooking Career
MasterChef Australia Journey
Emelia Jackson first joined MasterChef Australia 2014. She was one of the top 24 contestants. She cooked her way to third place in the competition. This was announced on July 27, 2014.
In 2020, Emelia was invited back to the show. This time, it was for MasterChef Australia: Back to Win. She competed against 23 other past contestants. Emelia was named the winner on July 20, 2020. She won $250,000 for her amazing cooking skills.
In the final, Emelia competed against Laura Sharrad. Laura had finished second in the 2014 series, just ahead of Emelia. Interestingly, both Emelia and Laura had attended Siena College (Camberwell) when they were teenagers. However, they were in different school years.
After MasterChef Success
In November 2022, Emelia shared her cooking knowledge in a book. It is called First, Cream the Butter and Sugar. The book teaches pastry techniques and recipes.
In May 2024, it was announced that Emelia would appear on another cooking show. She is a contestant on the second season of Dessert Masters.
Emelia's Personal Life
Emelia Jackson has a partner named Craig Gersbach. In 2021, they welcomed their daughter. Two years later, in 2023, they had a son.
