But this time, Emily finished first, winning the gold medal! She was six seconds faster than Catharine. Emily said it was amazing for Canada to win both gold and silver.

Emily competed for Canada again at the 2016 Summer Olympics. She had just won a bronze medal at the World Championships, so she was in great form. In the Olympic race, she finished a very close fourth place, just missing a bronze medal. She was only about 10 meters from winning a medal! Emily raced for the Trek Factory Racing team from 2013 to 2020. In 2021, she joined the Canyon team. Her coach is Adam Morka, who is also her husband!
