Emily McGuire's Football Journey
Emily McGuire began her professional football journey when she was chosen in the 2017 AFL Women's draft. This is a special event where AFLW teams pick new players. Fremantle Football Club selected her as their fifth choice, which was the thirty-third player picked overall.
AFLW Debut and Rising Star
Emily made her first AFLW appearance in round three of the 2018 AFL Women's season. Her debut game was against the Melbourne Football Club at Fremantle Oval. It was an exciting match that Fremantle won by five points.
