Awards and Leadership

Emily Nichols Hatch was a recognized artist. In 1912, she won the Macmillian portrait prize. This award came from the Woman's Art Club of New York. It showed that her portraits were very good.

She was also a member of important art groups. She joined the Pen and Brush Club. She was also part of the National Association of Women Painters and Sculptors. This group supported women artists.
