Emmanuel Mayuka (born November 21, 1990) is a Zambian professional football player. He plays as a striker for the NAPSA Stars club and the Zambia national team. He was the top scorer in the 2012 Africa Cup of Nations tournament.

Emmanuel Mayuka's Club Journey
Emmanuel Mayuka was born in Kabwe, Central Province, Zambia. He started playing football at the Lusaka Academy when he was 11 years old. In 2007, he joined Kabwe Warriors, a big club in Zambia. He played very well there, scoring 15 goals in 23 games. Because of his great performance, he was chosen to play for the Zambia under-17 national team.
Playing for Maccabi Tel Aviv
In September 2007, Mayuka moved to Israel to join Maccabi Tel Aviv. He first played for their youth team and scored three goals. He almost signed with a Portuguese team called Porto, but it didn't happen. In April 2010, he signed a new contract with Maccabi Tel Aviv that lasted until 2014.
Time with Young Boys
On May 28, 2010, Mayuka signed a five-year contract with a Swiss club called BSC Young Boys. He joined them for about £1.7 million. He was brought in to replace another player, Seydou Doumbia. On December 1, 2010, Mayuka scored two goals in a Europa League match against Stuttgart, helping his team win 4–2. He also scored a last-minute goal against FC Zenit Saint Petersburg in another Europa League game on February 17, 2011, which led to a 2–1 home win.
Joining Southampton
On August 28, 2012, Mayuka moved to England to play for Premier League team Southampton. He signed a five-year deal. He played his first game for Southampton on September 2, 2012, against Manchester United. He came into the game as a substitute.
He also came on as a substitute in a 4–1 win against Aston Villa. In that game, he helped his team get a penalty kick for their fourth goal. On December 22, 2012, he started his first game for Southampton, but they lost 1–0 to Sunderland.
Mayuka scored his only goal for Southampton in a League Cup game on August 27, 2013. They won that match 5–1 against Barnsley.
On September 2, 2013, Mayuka went on loan to Ligue 1 team Sochaux for a season.
On July 30, 2015, Southampton's manager said that Mayuka would not be playing for the team anymore. He had not scored any goals in his 16 league games for Southampton.
Playing for Metz
On August 31, 2015, Mayuka joined the French club FC Metz, which plays in Ligue 2. He signed a three-year contract with them.
Moving to Zamalek
On January 15, 2016, Mayuka joined the Egyptian club Zamalek. He signed a contract for three and a half years.
Back to Hapoel Ra'anana
On November 9, 2017, Mayuka went back to Israel and joined Hapoel Ra'anana.
Playing for Green Buffaloes
In April 2019, Mayuka returned to Zambia and joined Green Buffaloes.
Joining NAPSA Stars
In February 2020, Mayuka joined NAPSA Stars, where he plays today.
Emmanuel Mayuka's International Career
Mayuka was part of Zambia's under-20 national team in 2007. He was the youngest player at the 2007 FIFA U-20 World Cup. Even though he didn't score in that tournament, many football fans thought he played an important role in one of Zambia's best youth teams ever.
Mayuka started playing for the senior national team in the 2007 COSAFA Cup. He scored his first goal for Zambia in a 3–0 win against Mozambique.
He scored the first goal for Zambia in the 2012 Africa Cup of Nations. His teammate Rainford Kalaba scored the second goal, and Zambia won against Senegal. In the same tournament, he scored against Libya in the group stage. Then, he scored the winning goal in a famous 1–0 victory over Ghana in the semifinals. This win helped Zambia reach the finals. He played for all 120 minutes in the final match against Ivory Coast. Zambia won the tournament after a penalty shootout.
