Ena Begović (born July 8, 1960 – died August 15, 2000) was a very famous film actress from what was once Yugoslavia. Many people thought she was one of the best and most beautiful actresses of her time. She starred in many movies and became a beloved public figure.

Ena Begović: A Star of Yugoslav Cinema
Ena Begović was born in a town called Trpanj. Her parents were Terezija and Nikola Begović. A few years later, in 1963, her sister Mia was born. Mia also became an actress, just like Ena. Their father came from the Pelješac peninsula.
Early Life and First Steps in Acting
Ena started acting when she was quite young. Her first time on the big screen was at age 18. This was in a 1978 film called Occupation in 26 Pictures. She had a small part in this movie, which was directed by Lordan Zafranović.
Ena's career really took off with Zafranović's next film, The Fall of Italy (1981). In this movie, she played a character named Veronika. Veronika was the daughter of a rich family from the Dalmatian coast. This role helped Ena become well-known.
Her Most Famous Roles
Ena Begović continued to act in many films throughout her career. She was known for her strong performances and her beauty. She often played powerful and memorable characters. Her acting helped make many movies popular across the region.
Some of her other notable films include The Glembays (1988), where she played Barunica Castelli, and Fatal Sky (1990). Her final film role was in Četverored (1999).
A Sad Farewell
On August 15, 2000, Ena Begović was in a car accident. This happened in the village of Postira, on the island of Brač. She was a passenger in the car when it rolled over. Sadly, she passed away from the accident.
Ena had recently gotten married to a businessman named Josip Radeljak Dikan. She had also given birth to their daughter, Lana, just a month and a half before. Ena Begović was buried at Mirogoj Cemetery in Zagreb on August 19.
