Enea Zuffi (born December 27, 1891 – died July 14, 1968) was an Italian football player. He played as a forward or a midfielder.

Early Life and Club Career

Enea Zuffi was born in Turin, Italy, on December 27, 1891. He grew up to become a talented football player.

He played for two big teams in his hometown. First, he joined Torino. He played nine games for them between 1908 and 1910. During this time, he scored one goal.

After playing for Torino, Enea Zuffi moved to Juventus. He played 21 games for Juventus from 1910 to 1912. He then returned to Torino for the 1912-1913 season, where he played five more games.

The Sir Thomas Lipton Trophy

In 1909, Enea Zuffi and his Torino team took part in a special competition. It was called the Sir Thomas Lipton Trophy. Many people believe this was the first ever European club football trophy.

In this tournament, Torino finished in third place. Enea Zuffi scored an important goal in a game against Sportfreunde Stuttgart. His goal helped Torino win 2-1, securing their third-place finish.

Playing for Italy

In 1912, Enea Zuffi was chosen to play for the Italian national team. He joined the squad for the 1912 Summer Olympics in Stockholm, Sweden.

He played in two games during the Olympics. His first game was on June 29, when Italy played against Finland. Italy lost this game 2-3. This meant Italy would then play in a special "consolation tournament."

Enea Zuffi was on the bench for Italy's next game against Sweden. Italy won that game 1-0. His second game was on July 3, when Italy played against Austria. Italy lost this match 1-5.

Later Life

Enea Zuffi passed away on July 14, 1968, when he was 76 years old.
