History of the Building

The Enterprise Plaza was finished in 1980. It was built by a company called Hines. For a short time, from 1980 to 1982, it was the tallest building in Texas. Then, the JPMorgan Chase Tower became even taller.

The building has been sold a few times over the years. In 1985, Capitol Guidance Corporation bought it. Later, it was sold to National Office Partners Limited Partnership. This was a partnership between Hines Interests Limited Partnership and CalPERS. Hines Real Estate bought the tower again in January 2000.
