Era (musical project) facts for kids
Era (stylized as eRa) is a cool French music group that makes a special kind of music called New Age. This project was started by a French composer named Eric Lévi. There are 12 members in the group, including Eric himself.
Era has sold over 12 million albums around the world! Their songs often have lyrics written in a made-up language that sounds like Latin, called Pseudo-Latin, and also in English. They play music in styles like Ambient, Chillout, and New Age. These styles are usually calm, relaxing, and often used for background music.
Some of their songs have become very famous. For example, their song "Enae Volare Mezzo" was used as the theme song for famous mixed martial arts fighters, Fedor Emelianenko and his brother Aleksander Emelianenko. Another one of their popular songs, "Ameno," was used as the entrance music for the Mexican wrestler Mistico.
