Erick Rowsell, born on July 29, 1990, is a British former professional cyclist. He used to race bikes on the road for different teams from 2012 to 2019. After his racing career, he started working for British Cycling. He is now the Elite Road Racing Manager. Before this, he was part of their Olympic Development Programme.

Early Wins and Achievements
In 2007, Erick won a big junior race. This was the British National Time Trial Championships. He surprised many people by beating the world champion, Peter Kennaugh. The next year, in 2008, he won another important junior race. This was the British National Road Race Championships.
Winning the Junior Tour of Wales
Also in 2008, Erick won the prologue time trial of the Junior Tour of Wales. This is a three-day cycling event. He then went on to win the whole event. He finished eight seconds ahead of Johan Fredrik Ziesler from Norway. Erick joined a list of famous past winners. These include cyclists like Charly Wegelius and Geraint Thomas.
Professional Career and Teams
Erick Rowsell became a professional cyclist in 2012. He rode for several teams during his career. In November 2014, it was announced that he would join the Madison Genesis team for the 2015 season. He continued to race professionally until 2019.

Erick Rowsell has an older sister named Joanna Rowsell. She is also a very successful cyclist. Joanna competed professionally in both road and track cycling.
