Erika Fasana was born on February 17, 1996. She is a talented Italian gymnast. Erika represented her country at the 2012 Summer Olympics and the 2016 Summer Olympics. She made history as the first Italian gymnast to perform a difficult move called the "Chusovitina" on the floor. She was also the second Italian gymnast, after Vanessa Ferrari, to complete the "Silivas" move.

Early Gymnastics Career

Junior Successes

Erika Fasana started showing her skills early in her career. In March 2010, she competed at the City of Jesolo Trophy in Italy. She earned a bronze medal in the all-around competition.

Later that year, in April, Erika competed at the European Championships in Birmingham, United Kingdom. Her strong performance helped the Italian team win a bronze medal. Individually, she placed fifth in the all-around final. She also won a bronze medal on the vault.

In July 2011, Erika competed at the European Youth Summer Olympic Festival in Turkey. She helped the Italian team win a gold medal. She also earned a silver medal in the all-around competition. In the individual event finals, she won bronze medals on both vault and uneven bars, and a silver medal on floor.

Road to the Olympics in 2012

In January 2012, Erika competed in London, United Kingdom, at an event called the London Prepares series. Her performance helped the Italian team win first place. This win meant that Italy qualified a full team for the upcoming Olympics!

In May 2012, Erika competed at the European Championships in Brussels, Belgium. She helped the Italian team win a bronze medal. Erika shared that the team's strong support for each other was a big reason for their success.

Competing at the London Olympics

In July 2012, Erika Fasana achieved her dream of competing at the 2012 Summer Olympics in London. She performed well in the qualification rounds. In the team final, Erika contributed strong scores on vault, uneven bars, and floor. Her efforts helped the Italian team finish in seventh place.

2015 Achievements

In March 2015, Erika Fasana competed at the American Cup. She showed her talent by winning a bronze medal at this important competition.
