Erni Krusten (born Ernst Krustein) was an important Estonian writer. He was born on April 30, 1900, in a place called Muraste, which is in Harku Parish. His family worked with gardening, and he even became a gardener himself!

Erni Krusten had two brothers who were also creative. His brother Pedro Krusten was a writer, and Otto Krusten was a caricaturist, someone who draws funny pictures. Erni also had a daughter, Reet Krusten, who studied literature.

He started writing in 1920. His very first book came out in 1927. Erni Krusten wrote a lot of books and stories. He especially liked writing shorter stories.

He passed away on June 16, 1984, in Tallinn.
