Erron James Maxey (born December 6, 1978) is an American professional basketball player. He played for many teams around the world, including the Formosa Dreamers in the ASEAN Basketball League (ABL). He is known for his strong play as a forward.

High School Basketball Star
Erron Maxey was a fantastic basketball player in high school. He started at Temescal Canyon High School for two years. He then moved to Elsinore High School.
Awards and Achievements
At Elsinore, Erron was the team captain for two years. He won the league's Most Valuable Player (MVP) award in both 1996 and 1997. In 1997, he helped his team achieve an amazing 23 wins and only 3 losses. They also won a league championship!
Erron was a top scorer, averaging nearly 29 points per game. He also grabbed over 14 rebounds, made 3.5 assists, and blocked 4 shots per game. He finished his high school career as Elsinore High School's all-time leading scorer. As a senior, he was named the Riverside County Player of the Year.
College Career at Providence
After high school, many colleges wanted Erron to play for them. He chose to attend Providence College.
Freshman Year
As a freshman, Erron mostly played as a center. He averaged 7.3 points and 4.3 rebounds per game. He played well in the Big East men's basketball tournament, scoring 22 points in two games.
Sophomore Year
In his second year, Erron continued to play as a center. He improved his game, averaging 9.9 points and 5.9 rebounds per game. He was the third-highest scorer on his team. He also had four "double-doubles," which means he scored double digits in two different stats (like points and rebounds) in a single game.
Junior Year
As a junior, Erron was a co-captain for the Friars. He became the team's best scorer, averaging 14.8 points per game. He had eight double-doubles that season. He also grabbed a career-high 21 rebounds in a Big East Tournament game.
Senior Year
In his final year, Erron was the sole captain of the team. He was once again the top scorer and rebounder for Providence. After college, he entered the 2001 NBA draft but was not chosen by an NBA team.

Early Career Abroad
His first professional team was Ferro Carril Oeste in Argentina. He averaged 22.3 points and 5.3 rebounds per game there. After that, he returned to the United States to play for the Pennsylvania ValleyDawgs.
He then played in Finland, the NBA Development League, Hungary, and Mexico. In 2006, he went back to Argentina. For the next three years, he played in Central and South America.
Success in Australia and New Zealand
In 2009, Erron moved to Australia to play for the Gold Coast Blaze during the 2009–10 NBL season. He earned the "NBL Best Sixth Man" award, which means he was the best player coming off the bench.
After that, he joined the Wellington Saints in New Zealand. He helped them win championships in both 2010 and 2011.
Later Career and Achievements
Over the next few years, Erron played in Japan, Colombia, and Uruguay. In March 2013, he returned to New Zealand to play for the Nelson Giants. Later that year, he rejoined Union Atletica Montevideo in Uruguay.
In 2015, Erron signed with the Toowoomba Mountaineers in Australia for the 2015 Queensland Basketball League season. He led his team to the quarter-finals. He averaged 26.2 points and 10.5 rebounds per game that season. He was also named to the QBL All-League Team.
Erron continued to play for various teams, including Club Atlético Bohemios in Uruguay and GIE Maile Matrix in the Universal Basketball Association. In 2018, he had a short time playing for the Formosa Dreamers in Taiwan. In 2021, he was named the Universal Basketball Association's Most Valuable Player.
