Erron James Maxey (born December 6, 1978) is an American professional basketball player. He played as a forward. His last team was the Formosa Dreamers in the ASEAN Basketball League (ABL).

High School Basketball Star
Erron Maxey went to Temescal Canyon High School for two years. He was a great player on their basketball team.
He then moved to Elsinore High School. There, he was the team captain for two years. He won the league's Most Valuable Player (MVP) award in both 1996 and 1997.
In 1997, Erron helped Elsinore High School achieve an amazing 23 wins and only 3 losses. They also won a league championship. That year, he averaged 28.7 points, 14.1 rebounds, 3.5 assists, and 4.0 blocks per game. He finished his high school career as Elsinore High School's all-time leading scorer. He also won the Riverside County Player of the Year award as a senior.
College Basketball Journey
Many colleges wanted Erron Maxey to play for them. He chose to attend Providence College.
Freshman Year at Providence
As a freshman, Erron mostly played as a center. He averaged 7.3 points and 4.3 rebounds per game. He played two games in the Big East men's basketball tournament. In those games, he scored 22 points and grabbed four rebounds.
Sophomore Year Improvements
In his second year, Erron continued to play as a center. He got even better, averaging 9.9 points and 5.9 rebounds per game. He was the third-highest scorer on his team. He also had four games where he scored at least 10 points and had at least 10 rebounds (called a double-double).
Junior Year Leadership
As a junior, Erron Maxey was a co-captain for the Friars. He was the team's best scorer, averaging 14.8 points per game. He achieved eight double-doubles that season. He also grabbed a career-high 21 rebounds in a game at the Big East Tournament.
Senior Year and NBA Draft
In his senior year, Erron was the only captain of the team. He was once again the top scorer and rebounder. After college, he entered the 2001 NBA draft. However, no NBA teams chose him in the draft.
Professional Basketball Career
Erron Maxey started his professional basketball career in 2001. He played for Ferro Carril Oeste in Argentina. There, he averaged 22.3 points and 5.3 rebounds per game.
Playing Around the World
After Argentina, Erron returned to the United States to play for the Pennsylvania ValleyDawgs. He then played in many different countries, including Finland, Hungary, and Mexico. He also played in the NBA Development League.
From 2006 to 2009, he played for teams in Central and South America. In 2009, he moved to Australia. He played for the Gold Coast Blaze during the 2009–10 NBL season.
Championship Wins
In Australia, Erron won the NBL Best Sixth Man award. After that, he joined the Wellington Saints in New Zealand. He helped them win two championships in a row, in 2010 and 2011.
Over the next few years, he played in Japan, Colombia, and Uruguay. In March 2013, he returned to New Zealand to play for the Nelson Giants. Later that year, he rejoined Union Atletica Montevideo in Uruguay.
Later Career Highlights
In 2015, Erron signed with the Toowoomba Mountaineers in Australia. He helped them go from last place in 2014 to the semi-finals in 2015. He averaged 26.2 points and 10.5 rebounds per game that season. He was also named to the QBL All-League Team.
In October 2015, he went back to Uruguay to play for Club Atlético Bohemios. He then returned to the Toowoomba Mountaineers in 2016. Between 2016 and 2018, he played for GIE Maile Matrix. He also had a short time with the Formosa Dreamers in Taiwan in 2018. In 2021, he was named the UBA Most Valuable Player.
