The Estadio Panamericano de Béisbol is a famous sports stadium in Zapopan, Mexico. It's also known as the Estadio de Béisbol Charros de Jalisco. This stadium is used for both baseball and track and field events.
It was first built for a big sports event called the 2011 Pan American Games. The stadium opened its doors in October 2011. It was originally called the Estadio Telmex de Atletismo.

A Home for Sports
Built for the Pan American Games
The stadium was specially built to host the athletics competitions during the 2011 Pan American Games. These games are a major international sports event. Athletes from all over the Americas compete in many different sports.
The stadium had a special track for running and other field events. It also had a separate track nearby for athletes to warm up. Its design allowed it to hold many fans during the games.
Baseball Comes to Zapopan
After the Pan American Games, the stadium found a new purpose. It became a popular place for concerts and other sports. In 2014, a professional baseball team, the Charros de Jalisco, bought the stadium.
The Charros de Jalisco play in the Mexican Pacific League. This made the stadium their official home field. It quickly became a favorite spot for baseball fans.
Hosting Big Baseball Events
The Estadio Panamericano de Béisbol has hosted several important baseball tournaments. In 2017, it was one of the venues for the 2017 World Baseball Classic. This is a huge international baseball competition.
It also hosted the 2018 Caribbean Series, which brings together champion baseball teams from different Caribbean countries. In 2019, the stadium welcomed teams for the 2019 WBSC Premier12 tournament.
More Baseball Teams
Another baseball team, the Mariachis de Guadalajara, also used the stadium. They played their games there from 2021 to 2023. This shows how important the stadium is for baseball in Mexico.
