What is Esterbrook's History?

Esterbrook was started in 1896. It began as a place for mining. The village got its name from Esterbrook Creek. This creek was named after a local settler, Mrs. Esther Cooper.

A special building in Esterbrook is the Esterbrook Community Church. It was built in 1946. This church is unique because it has a window behind the altar that looks out onto Laramie Peak. It was one of many mission churches in the Episcopal Missionary District of Wyoming.
