Etoile is a small place in Nacogdoches County, Texas, in the United States. It's called an unincorporated community. This means it's not officially a city or town with its own local government. Instead, it's part of the larger county area.

Schools and Education in Etoile

Students living in Etoile attend schools run by the Woden Independent School District. This district includes Woden High School, which is where older students go for their high school education.

For students who want to continue their learning after high school, the entire county, including Etoile, is part of the district for Angelina College. This college offers many different programs for higher education.

Recent Changes to Etoile Schools

Before March 2022, Etoile had its own school district called the Etoile Independent School District. This district served students from kindergarten up to eighth grade. However, high school students from Etoile already went to Woden High School.

In March 2022, the Etoile Independent School District decided to join with the Woden Independent School District. This process is called consolidation. It means the two districts became one. Woden ISD became the main district. Because of this change, the Etoile School building closed, and all students now attend schools in Woden.
