Eva Maria Düringer Cavalli (born on October 9, 1959, as Eva Maria Düringer) is an Austrian fashion designer. She is also known for winning beauty pageants. She was crowned Miss Austria in 1977 and Miss Europe in 1978. For some time, she also helped lead the design for the Cavalli fashion brands.
Early Life and Pageant Success
Eva Maria Düringer was born near Lake Constance, in Bodensee, Austria. Her parents are Frieda Koenig and Anton Düringer. When she was 17 years old, she won the title of Miss Austria. She was the youngest person ever to win this crown.
In 1977, she took part in the Miss Universe pageant. She came in second place, which was the best result for her country in that competition. The same year, she also competed in the Miss World pageant, where she made it to the semi-finals. Later, she entered the Miss Europe 1977 pageant and won the top prize.
Career and Family Life
In 1980, Eva married Roberto Cavalli, a famous Italian leather designer. He had been one of the judges at the Miss Universe pageant. Eva and Roberto had three children together. Their main home was in Florence, Italy. They divorced in 2010. Eva Cavalli later became a co-creative director for the Cavalli fashion brands. This means she helped design and guide the look of the company's clothing and products.
