Evan James was born on June 19, 1990. He is a Canadian soccer player. He plays as a forward for the Oakville Blue Devils team.

Evan James's Soccer Journey
Playing in College
Evan James played college soccer for the Charlotte 49ers from 2008 to 2011. In 2011, he played in 25 games and started 23 of them. He scored five goals and made seven assists that year.
He received special awards for his skills. In 2011, he was named to the All-Atlantic 10 First Team. He also made the NSCAA All-Mid-Atlantic Region First Team. In 2008, he was chosen for the Atlantic 10 All-Rookie team. Before college, James played for Oakville SC for four years. He helped his team win the U21 Ontario Cup.
Early Professional Career
While still in college, James played for a team called Hamilton FC Rage in 2011. This team was part of the USL PDL. He played in eight games and scored two goals for them.
In 2012, Evan James was the very first player chosen in the 2012 MLS Supplemental Draft. He then signed with the Montreal Impact on March 1, 2012. He stayed with the team until November 2, 2012.
After leaving Montreal, he went back to play in the PDL. He joined K–W United FC again in 2013. After the PDL season ended, he signed with Astros Vasas in the Canadian Soccer League. He scored 5 goals for them.
Playing Abroad
In 2014, James moved to England to play for Tonbridge Angels F.C. in the Conference South League. He played in four games and scored one goal during that season.
Later in 2014, James signed with a Finnish team called Kraft. They played in the Kakkonen league. He played in six games and scored two goals for Kraft.
In 2015, he moved to Denmark and joined BK Marienlyst. This team played in the Danish 2nd Division.
Return to Canada
In June 2015, Evan James came back to Canada. He signed with League1 Ontario team Sigma FC. In his very first game on June 4, 2015, he scored three goals, which is called a hat-trick!
In 2018, James played for another League1 Ontario team, Master's Futbol. He played in nine games for them that season.
Since 2019, Evan James has been playing for the Oakville Blue Devils.
International Soccer for Canada
Evan James also played for his country, Canada. He made his first appearance for the Canada U23 national team in 2012.
He made his debut for the senior Canada national team on January 26, 2013. This was in a friendly game against the Denmark team. He came into the game as a substitute in the second half.
