Eve Watkinson (born March 6, 1909 – died November 15, 1999) was a talented Irish actress. She performed on stage, in films, and on television.

Eve Panton Watkinson was born on March 6, 1909, in Terenure, Ireland. Her parents were Arthur Panton Watkinson and Kate Hollingsworth. Her father owned a company that decorated homes.

Eve started her acting journey with a local group called Torch Theatre in Capel Street, Dublin. She then joined a well-known company run by Edward and Christine Longford. This company performed at the famous Gate Theatre.

Her Acting Career

Eve Watkinson played the main character in many plays. She performed in works by famous writers like Ibsen, Sheridan, Shakespeare, and Fry. She even got a fun nickname, "Vampire Monster Mallarka." This happened after she played a vampire monster in a play called Carmilla.

Eve received some money that allowed her to live comfortably. She used the money she earned from acting to create her own plays.

She also spent several years acting with the Bristol Old Vic Theatre company in England. When Irish television, called Raidió Teilifís Éireann (RTE), began making TV plays, Eve was often cast. She appeared in plays by Dürrenmatt, Christopher Nolan, and Frank O'Connor. She even traveled to the Edinburgh Festival with a show called "Torchlight and Laser Beams."

Eve also worked as a presenter for RTE Radio. In the 1960s, she narrated stories for children, which was a special role. Later in her career, Eve had a part in the 1988 Irish film Reefer and the Model.

Eve Watkinson passed away on November 15, 1999, in Monkstown, County Dublin, Ireland.
