Exomilus is a group of small sea snails. These amazing creatures are a type of mollusk that lives in the ocean. They belong to a family of snails called Raphitomidae.

What Do Exomilus Snails Look Like?

Exomilus snails have small shells that are shaped a bit like a cylinder. Their shells have only a few whorls, which are the turns or spirals of the shell. The bottom part of the shell is curved inwards.

The shell's surface has special patterns called sculpture. This sculpture is made of lines that go around the shell like spirals, and lines that go up and down like ribs. These lines create a criss-cross or net-like pattern.

The opening of the shell has an outer lip. This lip is a little thicker than the rest of the shell. It also has small tooth-like bumps on the inside. Near the top of the shell's opening, there's a small, shallow notch called a sinus.

Where Do Exomilus Snails Live?

All the different types of Exomilus snails live only in Australia. This means they are endemic to Australia, which means they are found naturally nowhere else in the world.
