Fátima Gálvez Marín is a highly successful sport shooter from Spain. She was born in Baena, Córdoba. Her main event is trap shooting, which is a type of clay target shooting. In this sport, competitors use shotguns to hit clay targets that are thrown into the air.
Early Career and First Olympic Appearance
Fátima started showing her talent early in her career. In 2011, she won a silver medal in women's trap at a World Cup event in Chile. This important win helped her qualify for her first Olympic Games.
She represented Spain at the 2012 Summer Olympics in London. Fátima competed in the women's trap event. She performed well enough to reach the final round. In the end, she finished in fifth place, which was a great achievement for her first Olympics.
