Fahrettin Altun was born on September 11, 1976, in Stuttgart, Germany. He is a Turkish politician and researcher. He is a member of the Justice and Development Party. He leads the media and communications for the Turkish presidency.
Early Life and Learning
Fahrettin Altun studied at Istanbul University. He graduated in 1998 with a degree in Sociology. Later, he continued his studies at Mimar Sinan University.
He earned his PhD from Istanbul University in 2006. His doctoral paper looked at media theories. He also worked with a Turkish research group called the Foundation for Political, Economic and Social Research (SETA).
What He Did for Work
From 2008 to 2014, Mr. Altun was in charge of the Communication Department at Istanbul Şehir University. After that, he taught at Istanbul Medeniyet University from 2015 to 2017.
He was the main editor for a magazine called Kriter. He also appeared on TRT, which is a state television channel, to share his thoughts. He wrote for newspapers like Sabah, Daily Sabah, and Akşam. He also worked as an editor for Yöneliş and Küre publishing houses.
