Arnold Hall: The Main Event Space
Arnold Hall is the largest part of the Fair Expo Center. It's huge, covering about 77,940 square feet! This hall can hold up to 7,460 people for many exciting events. Imagine concerts, sports games, or big banquets happening here. It's also used for large trade shows where different businesses show off their products. Inside Arnold Hall, you'll find a box office to buy tickets, a restaurant, and a modern sound system. There's even a meeting room that can fit up to 125 people.
Edwards Hall: Another Great Venue
Edwards Hall is another important part of the center. It has a large open space of about 35,581 square feet, with no pillars getting in the way. This hall can seat up to 5,083 fans. It's a comfortable, air-conditioned space with its own sound system. Edwards Hall is perfect for trade shows, big meetings, and various sporting events. Both Arnold Hall and Edwards Hall have ceilings that are about 20 feet high.
Sunshine Pavilion: Modern and Bright
The Sunshine Pavilion is one of the newer parts of the center, built in 2000. It's a bright and modern space that can hold up to 6,920 people. This pavilion offers about 49,000 square feet for meetings and events. It has two areas where you can get food, a high ceiling of about 28 feet, and a great sound system. It's also air-conditioned and has a covered walkway that connects it to Arnold Hall. The Sunshine Pavilion is used for trade shows, meetings, and many other gatherings.
The FairExpo Center: More Than Just Events
The FairExpo Center is famous for hosting the yearly Miami-Dade County Fair & Exposition. This is a huge event with rides, games, and lots of fun! Besides the fair, the center is also used for many other fun activities.
It has even helped people during tough times. For example, in 1992, after a very strong storm called Hurricane Andrew, the center provided shelter and support for about 3,000 National Guard troops who were helping the community. It also helped people arriving from other countries during the Mariel boatlift.
