Falling Creek Falls is located in Columbia County, Florida, which is in the northern part of Florida. You can find it north of Lake City. It's easy to get to, with a parking lot right off County Road 131.

How to Visit the Falls

To see the waterfall, you can walk along a boardwalk. This boardwalk starts from the parking lot. The address for the park and the start of the boardwalk is 953 Northwest Falling Creek Road, Lake City, FL 32055.

When Did it Open?

Falling Creek Falls first opened to the public in October 2001. It was a team effort between the Suwannee River Water Management District and Columbia County. They bought the land from the Parker and Hogan families.

Why Was it Protected?

The main reason the land was bought and opened to the public was to keep the falls safe. The goal was to "protect and preserve the Falls for present and future generations." This means they wanted to make sure everyone, now and in the future, could enjoy this beautiful natural spot.
