Farzad's Music Journey
Starting with a Band
In 2001, Farzad was one of the people who started a music group called the Corouz Group. He was an original member of the band. However, he left the group before they released their first album. Another musician, Shervin Sohrabian, took his place. Farzad kept the rights to all the songs he had written for the Corouz Group.
Becoming a Solo Artist
Farzad worked hard to release his first official album, Sharaareh, in 2005. It took a lot of effort to get it just right.
His second album, Shock, faced some challenges. It was supposed to come out in 2006 but was delayed. This happened because some of his new songs were shared online too early. This made it difficult for him to release and perform his music legally in Iran. Despite these issues, he performed concerts in Europe with another singer, Mohsen Yeganeh, in May 2007. The Shock album was finally released in 2008.
For his third album, Shaans, Farzad was very worried about his music being leaked again. He even released the album a little early one afternoon, and the cover had a small mistake! He was so nervous he couldn't sleep. This album was promoted in a new way for Iran. It was shown in movie theaters and on DVDs with a short music video.
In August 2010, one of his songs, "Chikeh Chikeh," from the Shaans album, became popular in Europe. It stayed on the music charts for two weeks. This was a big deal and got a lot of attention online in Iran.
Farzad's Acting Career
Besides music, Farzad Farzin has also acted in movies and TV shows.
Movies and TV Shows
His first acting role was playing a singer in a movie called Brick Made Boys in 2007. Before that, he appeared in several short films. He also acted in a TV movie called Donyaaye Mahboob.
More recently, Farzad starred in a movie about a singer who dreams of performing a song for the Persian Gulf while on a boat. He also helped create the music for that movie. He has also acted in the movie Straw Dogs and in a TV series called Asheghaneh. He was also part of the cast for the Mannequin TV series.
