Fast Layne is a fun American comedy TV show from Disney Channel. It aired in 2019 and is about a smart girl named Layne Reed who finds a talking car! The show stars Sophie Pollono, Sofia Rosinsky, Brandon Rossel, and Winslow Fegley.

What the Show is About
In the town of Cedarville, Layne Reed is a super smart girl. Her parents are away, so her Aunt Betty is watching her. While Layne is running for school president, she and her best friend Zora Morris find an amazing talking car. Its name is VIN, which stands for Vehicle Integrated Neurotech.
VIN is being chased by some mysterious people, led by Kwon and Riggins. When Layne's DNA connects with VIN, she becomes the only one who can control him. Together, Layne, Zora, and VIN go on exciting adventures while trying to keep VIN safe from those who want him.

How the Show Was Made
The idea for Fast Layne started in 2017. It was first thought of as a new version of the famous "Herbie" car movies for Disney XD. Travis Braun created the show. Later, the project was approved as a limited series for Disney Channel, but it was no longer connected to Herbie. It was named Fast Layne.
The show was filmed in Maple Ridge, British Columbia, Canada. Filming began on February 19, 2018, and finished on April 27, 2018. The first episode of Fast Layne aired on Disney Channel on February 15, 2019. It came right after the new Kim Possible movie. The series has eight episodes in total.
