Anna Cathcart is a talented Canadian actress born on June 16, 2003. She is well-known for playing Kitty Song-Covey in the popular Netflix movies To All the Boys (from 2018 to 2021). She also starred in Kitty's very own TV show, XO, Kitty, which started in 2023.

Anna began acting when she was a child. She played Agent Olympia in the fun series Odd Squad (from 2016 to 2019) on PBS Kids and TVOKids. For this role, she even won a special award called a Canadian Screen Award. Anna also appeared as Dizzy Tremaine in the Disney Channel movies Descendants 2 (2017) and Descendants 3 (2019). She also had the main role in the web series Zoe Valentine (2019).

Anna Cathcart was born in Richmond, BC, Canada. She has a mix of Chinese and Irish family background. She also has an older sister.

Anna finished high school in 2021. She has said that going to school while acting felt like having two full-time jobs at the same time. When she was filming Odd Squad, she and the other young actors had special tutors for two hours each day. As of 2023, Anna attends the University of British Columbia. She is studying sociology and creative writing there.

Starting Her Career

Anna started acting when she was about six or seven years old. She got a talent agent and appeared in a few commercials, including ones for Crayola and Campbell's Soup. She has mentioned that she didn't really take acting classes. Instead, she learned a lot by watching shows on Disney Channel and Netflix.

When Anna was 12, she was asked to try out for the TV show Odd Squad. She and another actor, Isaac Kragten, were chosen to play Agents Olympia and Otis. They filmed the show in Toronto for seven months. The first episode of the second season aired in June 2016. That same year, Anna also appeared in the movie based on the show, Odd Squad: The Movie. This was her first time acting in a movie shown in theaters. Anna won a Joey Award for her work on Odd Squad. She also hosted an Odd Squad spin-off series called OddTube.

In 2017, Anna joined the cast of Descendants 2, a sequel to a popular Disney Channel Original Movie. She played Dizzy Tremaine, who is the daughter of Drizella Tremaine. The movie was watched by many people when it first came out.

Becoming a Star in To All the Boys

Anna Cathcart joined the movie To All the Boys I've Loved Before in 2018. This movie was based on a popular book by Jenny Han. Anna played Kitty Song-Covey, the energetic younger sister of the main character, Lara Jean. The movie was released on Netflix and quickly became one of their most-watched original films. Critics really liked the movie and praised the actors, especially Anna.

In 2018, Anna was also cast in the web series Zoe Valentine. She played the main character, Zoe. The first episode of the show was very popular on YouTube. Anna also starred as Zoe Valentine in the movie Spring Breakaway.

Anna returned as Dizzy Tremaine in Descendants 3 in 2019.

Continuing Success

Anna played Kitty again in the second To All the Boys movie, To All the Boys: P.S. I Still Love You, which came out in 2020. This movie was filmed mostly in Vancouver. Anna received praise for her performance, with many saying she brought the same great energy as in the first movie.

During the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020, Anna hosted a virtual series called Letters To. This show helped fans connect with their favorite authors.

Anna also appeared in the third To All the Boys movie, To All the Boys: Always and Forever, Lara Jean. This film was shot in places like Vancouver, New York, and Seoul.
