Fausto Corrêa da Silva (born May 2, 1950), known by everyone as Faustão, is a famous Brazilian TV presenter. He is most famous for hosting a very popular Sunday afternoon show called Domingão do Faustão, which started way back in 1989.
In 2023, Faustão had a heart transplantation because of heart problems. He also had a kidney transplantation in 2024. Both surgeries happened in a hospital in São Paulo.
His son, João Guilherme Silva, is also a TV presenter, following in his dad's footsteps!

Faustão's TV Journey
Faustão started his career in radio in the early 1980s. Soon after, he moved to television, where he became a household name.
Early TV Shows
One of his first big TV shows was Perdidos na Noite (meaning 'Lost in the Night'). He hosted this show from 1984 to 1988 on different TV channels like TV Gazeta, RecordTV, and Band. This show helped him become very well-known across Brazil.
Domingão do Faustão
In 1989, Faustão started hosting his most famous show, Domingão do Faustão (meaning 'Faustão's Big Sunday'). This show was on TV Globo and became a huge hit, running for over 30 years until 2021! It was a Sunday tradition for many families.
Recent TV Work
After leaving TV Globo, Faustão joined Band network. He hosted Faustão na Band from 2022 to 2023. He also presented a special show called Viradão do Faustão in 2022.
Faustão in Movies
Besides his long TV career, Faustão also appeared in a few movies. He often played himself or a character similar to his TV personality.
Movie Appearances
In 1990, he was in a movie called Sonho de Verão (meaning 'Summer Dream'), playing himself. The next year, in 1991, he starred as 'Inspetor Faustão' in the film Inspetor Faustão e o Mallandro.
