The FBCCI is managed by a group of leaders. As of September 11, 2024, Hafizur Rahman is the administrator. He was appointed by the Ministry of Commerce. He is in charge until new leaders are chosen through an election.

Different Teams at FBCCI

The FBCCI has several teams that handle different jobs. These teams help the organization run smoothly and serve its members. Here are some of the main teams:

  • General Affairs Division: This team handles everyday tasks.
  • Membership & Legal Affairs Division: They manage who joins FBCCI and deal with legal matters.

  • PR & Protocols Division: They handle public relations and official meetings.

Who Belongs to FBCCI?

Many different business groups are part of the FBCCI. These include:

  • Chambers of Commerce and Industry: These are groups of businesses from specific areas.
    • There are 60 "A Class" Chambers and 19 "B Class" Chambers.
  • Trade and Industrial Associations: These are groups of businesses from specific industries.
    • There are 372 "A Class" Associations and 5 "B Class" Associations.
  • Joint Chambers: These are groups that work with businesses from other countries. There are 20 such groups.

Members of FBCCI

The members of FBCCI are various business groups from different parts of Bangladesh. These include local business chambers, regional chambers, and associations for specific industries. It also includes groups that work with businesses from two different countries.

Connecting with the World

FBCCI works closely with business groups and organizations in other countries. This helps Bangladeshi businesses grow and trade with the rest of the world. FBCCI is a member of several important international groups, such as:

  • International Chamber of Commerce (ICC)
  • Islamic Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ICCI)
  • Confederation of Asia-Pacific Chambers of Commerce and Industry (CACCI)
  • SAARC Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SAARC CCI)

FBCCI also works with other global organizations that promote trade and economic growth. These include groups like UNDP, ESCAP, UNIDO, ITC, and GATT-UNCTAD. By staying connected, FBCCI helps protect the interests of Bangladeshi businesses on the world stage.

Currently, FBCCI leads the BCIM (Bangladesh-China-India-Myanmar) Business Council. This council helps businesses in these four countries work together.

FBCCI also has special agreements with business organizations in many countries around the world. This helps create strong business ties with nations like Australia, China, Germany, India, Japan, Malaysia, the USA, and many others.
